PHOTO: Woman stolen at gunpoint from her own North Harris County garage

HOUSTON (CW39) A suspect is still at large after attacking a woman at gunpoint in his own garage. This happened last Thursday July 15 in block 2500 of Chestnut Mills Road, in the Heritage Village subdivision.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office

The 24-year-old victim told MPs she drove her late model Dodge Charger to her home garage.
When she opened the rear passenger door to remove her child, a Hispanic man approached and demanded the keys to his vehicle at gunpoint. He also took his purse, Apple watch and other personal items.

As other MPs responded, the suspect was seen in the car on Antoine and West Road.
The deputies followed the suspect. When he tried to escape, at the intersection of Antoine and Breen Roads, the suspect overturned another vehicle from behind, putting the Charger out of service. He fled from the scene.

The deputies were able to recover the items stolen by the victims from the vehicle and returned them.
The male is described as being 5’6 to 5’7 tall and weighing around 150 pounds.
He was wearing a black hoodie and ripped blue jeans.
