First Access Broker Claims To Have Hacked Deutsche Bank

An initial access broker claims to have hacked into Deutsche Bank and is offering access to its systems for sale on Telegram.

A malicious actor (0x_dump) claims to have hacked multinational investment bank Deutsche Bank and is offering access to its network for sale online.

Security researcher Dominic Alvieri was one of the first experts to report the announcement posted by the initial access broker on Telegram.

The IAB says it has access to about 21,000 machines on the bank’s network, most of which are Windows systems. He also claims that the compromised machines were protected with a Symantec EDR solution.

“FTP, Shells, root, SQL-inj, DB, Servers. Also TCP, UDP, HTTP and HTTPS internal network filters. Employees communicate between office chat services, there are file servers with over 16TB of internal data including a shared folder for each user on the network and they also have a flexcube database. We can provide VDI and VPN + all domain dump passwords (with DA usr’s) Their funds are in B$ Price 7.5BTC We will ask for proof that we can afford to avoid wasting time etc… reads the ad.

The vendor says he had access to chat services used for internal communications, he also claimed to have access to file servers containing 16 terabytes of data.

The IAB offers access to Deutsche Bank 7.5 bitcoin, worth around $156,274.

The seller added that he was getting a lot of requests for this offer:

“We get a lot of requests and it’s hard to filter out fake buyers, so we ask for proof that you can afford it or (share with us your @ on the forums (we recommend you get to know the people so we can work easily )” added the seller.

Alvieri speculates that the IAB is the same broker that recently offered for sale access to Australia’s Medibank health insurance systems.
